Mr. Malcolm Dudley Wilkey, 74, of Mt. Airy passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. He was born in Washington DC on March 23, 1943 to Virginia Ward Fulk and to the late Joseph Anthony Berwanger. Mr. Wilkey was a self-employed painter and was a member of Lambsburg Baptist Church. He proudly served our country in the United States Marines. In addition to his mother Mr. Wilkey is survived by his wife, Brenda Fain Wilkey of the home; sons and daughter -in-law, Lee Wilkey of Dugspur, VA, Jason Wilkey of Mt. Airy, Chad and Shanelle of Lexington; step-sons and spouses, Walker and Amanda Leonard of Cana, VA, Clinton and Meghan Leonard of Richmond, VA; a step-daughter, Shelli Brown of Jacksonville; six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Lambsburg Baptist Church with the Rev. Israel Easter Officiating. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens with full military honors conducted by VFW Memorial Honor Guard Post 2019 of Mt. Airy and Post 9436 of Pilot Mountain.
