Mr. Mark Duane Harrell

Mr. Mark Duane Harrell, 51, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday March 5, 2017. Mr. Harrell was born in Surry County on December 26, 1965 to Lena Harrell Dixon and the late Ray Mabe. Mr. Harrell was an avid bass fisherman and he had a love and passion for football, especially the Carolina Panthers, “Keep Pounding”. Mr. Harrell is survived by his wife, Candy Fulp Harrell; daughter, Jennifer Mae Harrell; son, Robert Duane Harrell; grandson, Brayden Lane Harrell; mother, Lena Harrell Dixon; sisters and brothers-in-law, April Martin, Lara and Chris Clark, and Jill and Brian Patton; his brother, Kirk Pedrero and grandmother, Bertha Harrell. Graveside services will be held on Friday March 10, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Harrell Hill Cemetery off of Willis Gap Road. The family will receive friends on Friday March 10, 2017 at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy from 12:30 until time to leave for the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Moody Funeral Service, Inc., PO Box 1288, Mount Airy, NC 27030 to assist the family with expenses.
