Mr. Marvin Harley Haden

Mr. Marvin Harley Haden, age 75 of Patrick Springs, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. He was born in Patrick County on June 12, 1935 to the late Worth and Elna Pendleton Haden. In addition to his parents, Mr. Haden was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Haden; three brothers, Clyde, Earnest and Hoy Haden, and one sister, Gladys Dillon. He attended Providence United Methodist Church.
Mr. Haden is survived by his wife, Carolyn Young Haden of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Blane Lawson and one son and daughter-in-law, Sterling and Melinda Haden, all of Stuart; one step-daughter, Jennifer Riddle of Basset; one step-son, David Rakes of Stuart; three grandchildren, Aaron Lawson, Kellen Lawson and Austin Haden; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Allene and Lois Harbour of Collinsville, Ruth Hylton of Stuart, Ruby and "Cotton" Vaughn of Collinsville and Eva and Ray Vaughn of Stuart; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Moir and Elva Haden, and Ralph and Marjie Haden, all of Stuart; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Haden will be held Friday, November 5, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor David Westmoreland and Elder Donnie Conner officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
