Mr. Michael Wayne "Mike" Brooks

Mr. Michael Wayne "Mike" Brooks, age 63, of Dobson, NC passed away on Monday October 29, 2012. Mr. Brooks was born in Surry County, NC, on August 3, 1949 to the late Sam Brooks and to Pearl Thompson Brooks. He was employed by Van-Heusen. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by one brother Richard Brooks. Surviving are his wife Nancy Watson Brooks of the home; three son and two daughters-in-law Michael R."Randy" and Kimberly Brooks of Dobson, Robert A. "Bobby" and Shannon Brooks of Hamptonville, Timothy W. Brooks of Dobson; two grandchildren Derek Brooks, Leighanne Brooks; mother Pearl Thompson Brooks of Dobson; sister-in-law Emma Brooks of Dobson. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday November 1, 2012 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson, with burial to follow in the Rocky Ford Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Mickey Brooks will conduct the funeral services. The family will receive friends on Thursday at Moody-Davis Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until the time of his service.
