Mr. Moir Kenneth Pendleton, Sr., age 78 of Woolwine went home to be with the Lord on Saturday morning. He was born on May 8, 1931 in Patrick County to the late Charlie Clay Pendleton and Mattie Cockram Pendleton. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by four sisters; Lorna McGrath, Grace Worley, Ruby Brammer, Garnet Bowling; and three brothers; Hugh, Oren, and Noel Pendleton. He was a member of Buffalo Ridge Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Pansy Light Pendleton of the home; a daughter and son in law, Beverley and Wayne Fulcher of Bassett; a son, M. Kenneth Pendleton, Jr. of Stuart; five grandchildren, Brian Fulcher, Kimberly Fulcher, Jason Fulcher, Monica Pendleton, Cindy Faulkner; eight great grandchildren, Luke Fulcher, Aiden Fulcher, Colin Fulcher, Michael Fulcher, Susanna Fulcher, Noah Fulcher, Caleb Faulkner, Anna Faulkner; and two brothers, Clay Pendleton of Bluefield, and Avery Pendleton of Roanoke.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Buffalo Ridge Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastors Kenneth Terry and Wayne Fulcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
