Mr. Oliver Dennis Combs

Mr. Oliver Dennis Combs, 74 of Dobson, passed away on Sunday evening, October 16, 2016 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. He was born in Surry County on May 4, 1942 to the late Arman Combs and Etta Payne Combs. Mr. Combs was retired truck driver after many years of service. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Joyce Senter Combs of the home; a son, Charles Jay Combs of Banner Elk; a daughter and son-in-law, Amanda Casstevens and Dennis of Landrum, SC; three grandchildren, Dylan Casstevens, Priscilla Brintle and Nevaeh Casstevens; and two great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Mary Ann Combs of Manteo, NC. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy at 2:00 PM with Rev. Butch Holder officiating with burial to follow in Zion Hill Primitive Baptist Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday at the funeral home from 1:00 – 2:00 PM.
