Mr. Oscar M. "O.M." Rogers

Mr. Oscar Manuel “O.M.” Rogers, age 54 of Stuart, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was born in Stokes County, North Carolina on July 9, 1961 to the late Perry Davis Rogers and Jane Manuel Rogers. In addition to his parents, Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Pete Bowman and a brother-in-law, Jeff Parrish. He had worked in the maintenance department at Pioneer Community Hospital and at Stuart Forest Products.

Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife, Cletus Ann Rogers of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Brandi and Chad Duggins of King, North Carolina; two step-daughters, Tonya Holt of Westfield, North Carolina and Lesia Weddel of Stoneville, North Carolina; a step-son, Michael Holt of Lawsonville, North Carolina; twelve grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and Bradley Wagoner of Walnut Cove, North Carolina, Roslyn and Ronnie Bullins of Madison, North Carolina and Sonya Rogers of Mayodan, North Carolina; and three brothers and sisters-in-law, Davis and Sandra Rogers of Walnut Cove, Aaron and Mary Rogers of Pinnacle, North Carolina and Ardyne and Shana Rogers of Lawsonville, North Carolina.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Tommy Shepherd and Rev. Mike Manuel officiating. Burial will follow in Stateline Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until time of the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home of his sister-in-law, Amy Parrish, 485 Hill Valley Rd., Stuart, VA 24171.
