Mr. Patrick Zane Grizzell Sr

Mr. Patrick Zane Grizzell, Sr., age 72, of Siloam, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Pat was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a retired Primary Production Specialist for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. Pat was a veteran of the US Navy and was in the last graduating class of Copeland High School. He was of the Baptist faith and he loved fishing and anything to do with the outdoors. He was born in Carroll County, Virginia. Pat was preceded in death by his parents Jess Lawson and Josephine York Lawson; and by his daughter Christina Lynn Grizzell. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Brenda Poindexter Grizzell of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law Sharon and Jason Patton of Siloam, Sabrina and Matt Wilmoth of Dobson; one son and daughter-in-law Patrick Zane Grizzell, Jr. and Heather Grizzell of Siloam; three grandchildren Jess Wilmoth, Gabe Wilmoth and Kayli Grizzell; two sisters and brothers-in-law Thelma and Jay Mosley of Mt. Airy, Alice and Glinard Lawson of Dobson; two brothers Sidney Grizzell of Siloam and Darrell Grizzel of Siloam. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Pine Hills Friends Meeting, with Rev. Glinard Lawson and Rev. Jerry Pardue conducting the services. The family will receive friends at Pine Hill Friends Meeting on Tuesday from 2:00 PM until the time of his service at 3:00 PM. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Pine Hill Friends Meeting Cemetery Fund C/O Johnny Bruner 638 Eldora Rd. Ararat, NC 27007. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Grizzell family.
