Mr. Paul Floyd Brown Sr

Mr. Paul Floyd Brown Sr., age 84, of Dobson, NC passed away on Tuesday morning April 30, 2013 in Dobson, NC. He was born in Surry County on November 27, 1928 to the late Dalphus Edward Brown and the late Viola Southard Brown. He was of the Baptist Faith and a retired farmer. Surviving is his wife Carol Royal Brown of the home; three son and daughters-in-law Paul Jr. and Darlene Brown of Maryville, Tenn., James Dale and Gail Brown of Dobson, Eddie Dean and Vickie Brown of Dobson; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother Claude Wilson Brown of Dobson; a special sister-in-law Linda York of Dobson; several special nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son David Brown; three sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday May 2, 2013, in the Chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson, with burial to follow in the White Rock Cemetery in Thurmond, NC. Brother Mickey Brooks will conduct the services. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of his service at 2:00 P.M.
