Mr. Paul Henry Casstevens

Mr. Paul Henry Casstevens, age 88, of Mt. Airy, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017, at the Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Casstevens was born in Yadkin County on April 19, 1929 to John Henry and Inez Beck Casstevens. He was a farmer and former supervisor at Bassett Furniture. Mr. Casstevens’ precious memory will always be cherished by a daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Phil Wagoner; sons and daughters-in-law, Paul W. and Lynn Casstevens, Dean and Debbie Casstevens, Mitchell and Debbie Casstevens, Alfred and Sharon Casstevens, and Harold and Dora Casstevens; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Malzie Beasley, Annie Mae and Billy Holder, Irene and Dennis Blackburn, and Alene and Bill Cail; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Sandra Casstevens, Delmer and Linda Casstevens, Bill and Billie Sue Casstevens, Charles and Karen Casstevens, Graham and Sandra Casstevens, and Homer and Shirley Casstevens and Frances Casstevens. In addition to his parents, Mr. Casstevens was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Jane Munday Casstevens; a daughter, Kathleen Casstevens; a sister, Mozelle Shore; and brothers, Rev. Jack Casstevens and Arvil Casstevens. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 18th, 2017 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ken Young and Rev. Jack Anderson. Burial will follow in New Life Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gospel Mission Church at 1046 Linville Rd., Mt. Airy, NC or to Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017.
