Mr. Paul Henry Taylor

Mr. Paul Henry Taylor, age 84 of Mt. Airy, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011 at his home. Mr. Taylor was born in Surry County, April 7, 1927 to Bossie Henry and Erline Ruth Frans Taylor. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Taylor was retired, having owned and operated Hollingsworth Drug Co., he worked with F. Rees Co. and later with his son in his Real Estate business. He was a member of Mount Airy Friends Meeting Church. Surviving is his loving wife, Margaret Blackburn Taylor of the home and a son, David Taylor of Mt. Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by a son, Paul Henry Taylor, Jr.; a sister, Patricia Hines and a brother, Denver Lee Taylor. There will not be any formal services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mount Airy Friends Meeting at 109 W. Wilson St., Mt. Airy, NC 27030 or to the Boy Scouts of America, Dogwood District, c/o Donnie Diamont, P.O. Box 161, Pilot Mountain, NC 27041 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
