Mr. Posie T. "Tommy" Goad

Mr. Posie T. “Tommy” Goad, age 73, of Cana, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. Mr. Goad was born in Patrick County on February 9, 1944, to A. J. and Jewel Hill Goad. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends. Surviving is his devoted wife, Tonia Towe Goad; sons, Jeremy Goad, Perry Strickland, and Joe Strickland and wife, Lana; grandchildren, Kayla and Misty Strickland; sisters and brothers-in-law, Hilda Puckett, Peggy Howlett, Cleo and Gene Gammons, and Rebecca and David Minish; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lonnie and Cheryl Goad, Wilber and Tammy Goad, and Bruce Goad; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Goad was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Goad. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, May 29, 2017 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Goad officiating. Burial will follow in the Towe Family Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the VFW Honor Guard Mt. Airy Post 2019 and Pilot Mountain Post 9436.
