Mr. Richard Wayne Cockram

Mr. Richard Wayne Cockram, age 66 of Ridgeway, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009 at the Blue Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Martinsville. He was born in Patrick County on November 25, 1942 to the late Lawrence Melvin Cockram and Loula Mae Alderman Cockram. He retired from Sprint Telephone Company with over 30 years of service.
Mr. Cockram is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Darren Pritt of Elk View, West Virginia; two sons and daughters-in-law, Russell and Christina Cockram of Axton and Paul and Angie Cockram of Ridgeway; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one step great-grandchild; and one brother, Joseph "Joe" Cockram of Wytheville.
Funeral services for Mr. Cockram will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Elroy Newman officiating. Burial will follow in the Alex Cockram Family Cemetery.
