Mr. Richard Cargile Crouse

Mr. Richard Cargile Crouse, 64, of Lowgap passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. He was born in Raleigh County, West Virginia on December 10, 1947 to Mrs. Nada Meadows Crouse and the late Mouria "Bill" Crouse. Mr. Crouse was a graduate of North Surry High School, class of 1966, and a retired veteran from the United States Army having served our country during the Vietnam War. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother; a sister, Joyce Norman of Elkin; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Linda Crouse of Dobson, Dwight "Dusty" and Beth Ann Crouse, Russell "Rusty" and Cathy Crouse and David and Debbie Crouse, all of Lowgap; two step-children, Donnie Hawks of Galax, Va. and Timmy Hawks of Lowgap; several dear nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his father, a sister, Barbara Ramey preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at Roaring Gap Baptist Church at 2 pm on Monday, July 2, 2012 by Rev. Joe Atkins. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Honors by Veteran of Foreign Wars Memorial Honor Guard, Mount Airy Post 2019 and Pilot Mountain Post 9436. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6 to 8 pm at Moody-Davis Funeral Home. In-lieu-of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Woltz Hospice Home for their loving and compassionate care.
