Mr. Richard Brandon Draughn

Mr. Richard Brandon Draughn, age 30 of Mt. Airy passed away unexpectedly in Raleigh, NC Tuesday, September 18, 2012. He was born in Surry County on August 18, 1982 to Richard Loyd Draughn and Sandra Hiatt Draughn. He worked as an auto mechanic and was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, Mr. Draughn is survived by two brothers, Ryan Stuart Draughn of Raleigh and Jacquez Malecke Green of Mt. Airy; grandparents, Mike and Bessie Williams of Ararat, VA, Mickey Draughn of Mt. Airy and Sherrie Draughn of Dobson; a special friend, Miranda Rice of Dobson. Mr. Draughn was preceded in death by a brother, Joshua Michael Draughn and his grandfather, Fred Stuart Hiatt. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Salem Baptist Church in Dobson with the Rev. Arlis Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy Friday, September 21, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Moody Funeral Home, PO Box 1288, Mt.
