Mr. Richard Davis "Ricky" Howard

Mr. Richard Davis “Ricky” Howard, age 61, of Elkin, NC passed away, on March 16, 2017, at the Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC. He was born in Montgomery Co. VA on October 14, 1955 to the late Junior Holt Howard and the late Dorothy Howard Howard. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters Marie Richards, Brenda Sue Howard, Loretta Harman; one brother Roy Lee Howard. Surviving are his three sisters and brothers-in-law, Claudine and William Vance of Floyd, VA; Ruth Garcia of Elkin, and Mary and Gary Scott of Floyd, VA. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday March 19, 2017 in the Garcia Family Cemetery with Reverend Jessie Howard officiating. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday beginning at 1:00 PM until time to go to the graveside at 2:00 PM. The family request in lieu of flowers memorials be made to his sister Ruth Garcia to help with final expenses; C/0 Ruth Garcia, 278 White Pine Trail, Elkin, NC 28621.
