Mr. Richard W. Martin

Mr. Richard Wade Martin, age 75 of Stuart passed away Friday at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. He was born on Feb. 1, 1937 in Patrick County to the late Nick Wade Martin and Bessie Reynolds Martin. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother, Davey Martin; and a sister, Tillice McArthur. Mr. Martin drove a school bus with the Patrick County Public School System for many years.
Surviving are a niece, Susan Niten of Ararat; a nephew, Brian McArthur of Martinsville; and a special friend, Nellie Thompson of Woolwine.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 13, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. Burial will follow in the Nettle Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
