Mr. Ricky Dean Parker

Mr. Ricky Dean Parker age 39 of Harrisonburg, VA formerly of Cana, VA passed away Friday, January 6, 2012 at the Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, VA. He was born June 9, 1972 in Surry County to Sandra Parker Bryant and the late Billy Parker. He had served in the US Army and was a member of Blue Ridge Baptist Church. Surviving is a son, Christian Parker, Mt. Airy, mother and step father, Sandra and Ray Bryant, Elon, three sisters and three brothers-in-law, Donna and Tommy Shelton, Mt. Airy, Tammy and Daniel May, Elon, and Angie and Dale Marion, Mt. Airy and a grandmother, Ida Mae Parker, Mt. Airy, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Woody Flippen and Rev. Tommy Shelton. Burial will follow in the Hutchens/Venable Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 PM Wednesday at Moody Funeral Home.
