Mr. Ricky Hoyle Putnam

Mr. Ricky Hoyle Putnam, age 65, of Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem He was born April 1, 1952 to the late William and Dorothy Holliefield Putman. He was a loving father and grandfather and was loved by all who had the privilege to know him. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 48 years Shirley Putnam; two sons and daughters-in-law, Chad and Stacie Putnam, Tim and Jayme Brant, three grandchildren, Ella Brant, Emmie Brant and Zack Putnam; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Dicky and Pat Putnam, and Billy Putnam; and special friends Michael and Amanda Jenkins and Abigail Jenkins. In addition to his parents, Mr. Putnam was preceded in death by his sister, Rita Horne. A funeral service will be held on Monday October 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with services conducted by Rev. Don Fellows with burial to follow in Southside Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until time for the service at the funeral home.
