Mr. Robert Alton Boyd

Mr. Robert Alton Boyd, age 67, of Dobson, NC passed away on Wednesday evening at his home. He was born in Surry County on November 22, 1951, to the late Martin and Mazie Jewell Stanley Boyd. He was a retired Live Haul Manager for Wayne Farms. Surviving are his loving wife of 44 years, Wilma Blevins Boyd; a son and daughter-in-law, Toby and Sonya Boyd; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Jamie Jenkins; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alfred and Jan Boyd, Richard and Terry Boyd; nieces Amy Collins, Sumer Jenkins, Bridget Shaw, Tiffany Russell, Leigh Wells; nephew Matthew Jenkins; and several great nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 3, 2019, at Bear Creek Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. His body will remain at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson until carried to the church to lie in state 30 min before the service. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
