Mr. Robert Lee Cooper

Mr. Robert Lee Cooper, 52, of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center of Winston Salem. He was born in Wilkes County on February 23, 1961 to Robert Bruce and Christine Welborn Cooper. He worked in construction before becoming disabled. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cooper is survived by two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Sandy and Alan Hester of Cordova, TN., Annette and Michael McGee of Midway; nieces, nephews and spouse, Megan and Jeremy Simpson, Morgan Hester all of Memphis, TN, Charlie, Ana Taverniti, Zachary McGee all of Midway; a great nephew, Braden Simpson of Memphis, TN. Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by a sister, Becky Taverniti. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy, with Mr. Kent Shumate officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN. 38105.
