Mr. Robert "Cobb" Harris

Mr. Robert "Cobb" Harris, age 71, of Dobson, NC passed away on Tuesday July 26, 2011 at Dunmore Plantation in Dobson, NC. He was born in Surry County on October 13, 1939 to the late Ruff and Lola Edwards Harris Smith Potts. He was retired from Renfro Corp. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ruby McCormick Harris; brother Howard Wayne Harris; sister Laree Harris Deathridge. Surviving are his brother and sister-in-law D.J. and Louise Smith of Dobson; nieces and nephews Michael Davis Smith, Danny Ray Smith, Tina Smith Tate, Daniel Wayne Smith, Timothy Darrell Smith; special great nieces and nephews Lyndia Smith, Kelly Wagoner, Little D.J. Smith, Samantha Chavez, Jonathan Smith. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday July 28, 2011 in the Chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Dobson City Cemetery. Rev. Bill Jenkins will conduct the services. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson, NC, on Thursday from 12:30 P.M. until the time of her service.
