Mr. Robert "Paul" Hylton

Mr. Robert "Paul" Hylton, age 76 of Winding Stair Road, Stuart, passed away Friday, October 20, 2006 at his home. He was born in Patrick County on February 25, 1930 to the late Robert Charles and Lula Cockram Hylton. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hylton was preceded in death by three brothers, Lacy, Walter Ray and Herbert Hylton; and two sisters, Pauline Evans and Ola Walker. He had served in the United States Army during the Korean war, and was retired from Bassett Furniture Industries.
Mr. Hylton is survived by his wife, Lena Boyd Hylton of the home; three sons, Ernest Lee, Michael Wayne and Gary Dean Hylton, all of the home; one daughter, Amy Hylton Gregson of Woolwine; one grandson, James Clay Gregson of Woolwine; two sisters, Essie Conner of Meadows of Dan and Virginia Conway of Danville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Hylton will be held Monday at 2:00 P.M. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Elder Donnie Conner officiating. Burial will follow in Jack's Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with military rites by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.
