Mr. Robert Lawrence "Bobby" Vernon

Mr. Robert Lawrence "Bobby' Vernon, Sr. age 79 of 4058 Flower Gap Road, Cana, VA passed away Monday, August 26, 2013 at his home. He was born November 12, 1933 in Carroll County, VA to the late William Cleve and Emmie Easter Vernon. He was a retired orchardist and truck driver. Mr. Vernon was a member of New Hope Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are five daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Billy Weaver, Lambsburg, VA., Patricia and Ronald Thomas, Lambsburg, VA, Kathy and Charles Lineberry, Collinsville, VA, Diane and Roger Hall, Bassett, VA and Sharon and Tony Pandolfini, Vinton, VA and a son, Robert L. Vernon, Jr, Collinsville, VA,_10 grandchildren, Richard Glenn Newman, Jr., Christopher Scott Bryant, Brandie Bryant Klein, Charles Corey Lineberry, Christopher Todd Lineberry, Jordan Chase Lineberry, Melissa Ann Law, Crystal Linnette Davis, Joseph Michael Davis and Matthew Aaron Davis, 9 great grandchildren, three sisters and brothers-in-law, Sylvia Collins, Cana, VA, Ernie and John Flippin, Fayetteville, GA, Pernie and Wayne Arnold, Broken Arrow, OK, and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Franklin and Judy Vernon, Rocky Mount, VA and Gene and Gloria Vernon, Versalles, MO. In addition to his parents, Mr. Vernon was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Vernon. Services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Dwight Sechrist and Rev. Ronnie Collins. Burial will follow in the Flower Gap Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive fiends 12:30 PM Thursday until the hour of the service at Moody Funeral Home.
