Mr. Robert Lee White

Mr. Robert Lee White, age 84, of Siloam, NC, passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 23, 2015, at his home. Robert was born November 3, 1931 to the late John Emory White and Cindy Cave White. Mr. White was an avid sportsman and was passionate about his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. He will always be remembered for his generosity to his friends and neighbors for fresh vegetables and fruits from his garden. He was a faithful member of Siloam Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. White was preceded in death by two brothers, Arvil and Clifford; and four sisters, Alma, Vena, MaryAnn and Lou.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Kaye Hardy White of the home; one daughter, Lisa Snow and her husband, Kenneth of Dobson, NC; one granddaughter, Katie Carroll and her husband Brian of Raleigh, NC; one grandson, Josh Tanner (JT) Snow and his wife, Summer of Dandridge, TN; three great-grandchildren, Ellis Robert Carroll, Elizabeth Rose Carroll and Tanner Grace Snow; one sister, Shelby Jean Childress of Thurmond; a special brother-in-law, Jack Hardy of Siloam; and four sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews; and many special hunting buddies.

To honor Mr. Whites wishes, no formal visitation will be held for the public. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Reverend Bill Faw officiating. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Margaret Carter, PO Box 25, Siloam, NC 27047.
