Mr. Robert Wright

Mr. Robert Wright, 78, of Mt. Airy passed away at his home Sunday, April 26, 2015. He was born in Surry County on February 26, 1937 to the late Arthur and Ethel Branson Wright. Mr. Wright was of the Baptist Faith; and owned and operated P & W Motors until his death. Surviving are his daughters and sons-in-law, Pat Martin, Peggy and Richard Pell, Bonnie and Mark Donithan, Libby and Dwight Grimes and June and Barron King; a son, Mark Anthony Wright; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren; and a brother and sister-in-law, Barry and Faye Wright. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Duncan Wright; a daughter, Vicky Wright; a son, Bobby Gray Wright; sisters, Dianne Wright, Brenda Hall and Joann Combs; and brothers, Donald and Dennis Wright. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Moody Funeral Home with Rev. Buford Jessup officiating. Burial will follow at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy on Wednesday from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
