Mr. Roger M. Hawks

Mr. Roger M. Hawks, 82, of Lowgap passed away at his home March 8, 2018. He was born in Surry County on September 28, 1935 to the late Wilburn and Lilly Bryant Hawks. He is survived by daughters and a son-in-law, Sandra and Clint Fisher and Kimberly Robertson; sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Wanda Hawks, Ronald and Rhonda Hawks, Randy Hawks and Eric Hawks; a step daughter and son-in-law, Susie and Jim Webb and a step son Archie Hawks; grandchildren, Brittany Lawson, Brandy Simmons, Mandy Romito, Brandon Hawks, Rhianna Hawks, Shane Hawks, Dillon Hawks, Michael Smith, Donnie Robertson, Chris Hawks, Erica Wall, Jordan Hawks Jeremy Collins, Emily Burcham and Jeremy Burcham; great grandchildren, Bentley Beasley, Alexis Lawson Cassidy Simmons, Kyler Simmons, Jaxon Simmons, Zao Wall, Arayah Hawks, Mattie Hawks, Arizona Epperson, Lilly Wray and Shyla Burcham. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hawks was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Marie Hawks, a sister, Bonnie Collins; two brothers, Virgil and Robert Hawks; and a half-brother, Edgar Bryant. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Blue Ridge Baptist Church. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.
