Mr. Roger Gray Haymore

Mr. Roger Gray Haymore, 77 of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin. He was born in Surry County on March 12, 1938 to the late Charlie and Emma Susie Shelton Haymore. Mr. Haymore was retired as a dispatcher from Mt. Airy Police Department with over thirty years of service. He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Lynda Lee Hale Haymore of the home; a daughter, Tracie D. Haymore; a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Dolores Haymore; a grandchild, Seth Alexander Haymore; step grandchildren, Shawn Braswell and Alisha Brawell; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronald Lee and Gail Haymore. In addition to his parents, Mr. Haymore was preceded in death by a grandchild, Danielle Summer Haymore; sisters, Eva Wilson and Frances Fulk; brothers, Thomas, James, Charles Autrey, Johnny and Bobby Haymore. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Moody Funeral Homes Chapel with Chaplain Gray Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens.
