Mr. Roger Lee White

Mr. Roger Lee White, age 82, of Elkin passed away on Wednesday September 7, 2016 at North Carolina Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born in Surry Co. on February 21, 1934 to the late Emory Zachary White and the late Nannie Elizabeth Dudley White. He was a retired Carpenter and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lula Haynes and Stella Dockery and two brothers, Billy White and Robert White. Surviving are his loving wife of 58 years, Betty Martin White of the home; son and daughter-in-law Randy and Crystal White of Elkin; three grandchildren, Emma White, Cassie White, and Khloe Harmon; one sister, Victoria Stanley of Elkin. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 10, 2016 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Union Cross Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Tim Burton will conduct the services. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of his service.
