Mr. Ronald Gray Carter

Mr. Ronald Carter, age 71, of Dobson, passed away Thursday July 13, 2017 at his residence. He was born October 10, 1945 in Quantico Virginia to the late Harry Gray and Emmaleen Sloop Carter. He was a member of The New Day Christian Center Church and worked as an electrician. Mr. Carter enjoyed hiking the Appalachian Trail. He is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca Ann White Carter; daughters, Stacy Carter (Phillip Vanhoy) and Sandra Carter; his son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Margaret Carter; grandchildren, Kelsey (Justin) Crouse, Celena Pardue, Jarrett Vanhoy, Emma Carter and Rachel Carter; sisters Deborah (Mike) Holleman and Lynn Carter Williams; brother, Claude Carter; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Herchell and Marie White, C.L. and Helen White, and Arnold White; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Carolyn and Linville Money and Jo and Terry Hardy. Visitation will be Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 6-8 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. The funeral will be at 1:00 PM Sunday in the Moody-Davis Chapel with Reverend Jeff Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Crestwood Memorial Gardens. Mr. Carter will be missed by his hiking buddies, Terry Hardy, Pete Fagg, Lloyd Bryant, James Knox and Stanley Myers.
