Mr. Ronnie Lee Haynes, Sr., 64, of Ararat, passed away Saturday June 10, 2017 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice home in Dobson. He was born September 2, 1952 to the late William Thomas and Emma Ree Hill Haynes. Mr. Haynes retired from Town and Country and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Ararat, NC. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie “Ron” Haynes Jr. and Deanna, two daughters and sons-in-law, Tracie and Chris Hawks, Gina and Greg Roark, seven grandchildren; Chandler, Carson, Jessica, Beth, Dakota, Braxton and Adalyn, one great-granddaughter, Jillian, and a great grandson, Elijah; three sisters and brothers-in-law; Janice and Terry Scott, Jackie and Neil Utt, and Vickie and Ernie Johnson, a brother; Dixie (Dickie) and Gina Haynes, and a sister-in-law; Brenda Haynes; a special friend, Teresa McMillian. In addition to his parents, Mr. Haynes was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Marie Payne Haynes; three brothers; Tommy, Jimmy, and Bobby Haynes, and a sister; Judy Marshall Watson. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Melissa Allen, Angel Goins and all the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice and the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. A celebration of Ronnie’s life held at Moody Funeral Home in Mt Airy Tuesday night, June 13, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt.
