Mr. Ross Clark

Mr. Ross Clark, age 93 of Stuart, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. He was born in Patrick County on November 17, 1913 to the late Joseph Jefferson Clark and Catherine Virginia Ayers Clark. In addition to his parents, Mr. Clark was preceded in death by three brothers, Moir "Pete" Clark, Ralph Clark and Joe Clark, and four sisters, Edith Sheppard, Pearl McMillon, Lois Craig and Iris Joyce. He had served in the United States Army during World War II, and attended Providence United Methodist Church.
Mr. Clark is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pauline Yates Clark of Stuart; one niece, Kay McMillon of Martinsville; and three nephews, Moir Page Clark of Independence and R. Kennon Clark and Glenn E. "Dud" Clark, both of Stuart.
Funeral services for Mr. Clark will be held Friday, June 29, 2007at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor David Westmoreland officiating. Burial will follow in Stuart Cemetery with military rites by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, and at other times at the home of Mr. Clark's sister-in-law, Mrs. Norman (Thyra) Biggs at 3518 Ayers Orchard Road, Stuart, Virginia.
