Mr. Roy Cassell

Mr. Roy Waymon Cassell, age 65 of Meadows of Dan passed away Saturday morning at his home. He was born on Dec. 9, 1942 in Patrick County to the late Posey Lester Cassell and Essie Clifton Cassell. Mr. Cassell was a retired superintendent with VDOT; drove a hauler for various NASCAR teams; and was of Baptist faith.
Surviving are his wife, Angie Culler Cassell of the home; one daughter and son in law, Jana and Michael Bush of Spartanburg, SC; one son and daughter in law, Dewayne and Amanda Cassell of Meadows of Dan; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Kyle Bush; one sister and brother in law, Betty and Harlon Banks of Meadows of Dan; and one brother and sister in law, Donnie and Norma Cassell of Meadows of Dan.
Funeral services will be held Monday Oct. 13, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Rev. Lonnie Hylton officiating. Burial will follow in the Plaster Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
