Mr. Roy Lee Graham, age 85 of Patrick Springs, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012 at his home. He was born in Patrick County on April 25, 1927 to the late James E. and Myrtle Cassell Graham. He served in the United States Army during World War II, retired from Bassett Furniture Industries with over 40 years of service, and was of the Primitive Baptist faith.
Mr. Graham is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dorris English Graham of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, June and Bobby Day of Stuart; two grandsons, Kevin Day and wife, Pam and Matt Day and wife, Michelle; four great-grandchildren, Hannah Day, Kaleigh-Jade Evans, Haley Day and Mark Day; one sister and brother-in-law, Dian and Larry Burnette of Stuart; and one brother and sister-in-law, James C. and Oleen Graham of Patrick Springs.
Funeral services for Mr. Graham will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Elder John Wingfield and Pastor Wayne Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Adams Family Cemetery with military rites by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home, and at other times at the home.
