Mr. Roy Cleveland Haymore Jr

Mr. Roy Cleveland Haymore, Jr., age 71, of Dobson, NC passed away on Friday night December 4, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. He was born in Surry Co. on September 2, 1944 to the late Roy Cleveland Haymore Sr. and the late Stella Marion Haymore. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Phylis Karen Haymore; one brother Jack Haymore. He was a member of Salem Fork Christian Church and was a veteran of the US Army having served three years in Germany. He was a retired arson investigator and had worked in law enforcement for several years, and was an avid Genealogist. Roy loved Surry County, his life on the farm and sharing the fruits from his vineyard with family and friends. Surviving is his wife Judy Harvey Haymore of the home; two daughters and son-in-law Jennifer Lynn Haymore of Mt. Airy, NC and Beth and Christopher Haymore of Durham; six grandchildren Sabryna Wall, Jesse Wall, Jeremiah Wall, Leland Haymore, Landon Kemp, Adelyn Kemp; one sister Wanda White of Dobson; one brother and sister-in-law Jerry and Ginny Haymore of Lewisville, NC; sister-in-law Bonnie Haymore of Dobson, brother-in-law Garry Harvey of High Point; friend Greg Anderson; Several nieces and nephews; Special Friends Debra and Dan Kemp, Terry Miller. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Cleve Haymore will we held 3:00 P.M. Sunday December 6, 2015 at Salem Fork Christian Church with Pastor Austin Caviness conducting. The family will receive friends and have a meal following the service in the fellowship hall. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Childrens Center of Surry PO Box 692, Dobson, NC 27017. There will be no formal services held at the funeral home.
