Mr. Roy Edward Leonard

Mr. Roy Edward Leonard, age 72, of Mt. Airy, passed away Sunday, November 01, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Leonard was born in Davidson County on February 22, 1943 to Everett and Ila Mae Hunt Leonard. He was retired from Sexton Construction and attended Highland Park Baptist Church. Those who will always cherish is memory are his wife, Ann Mabe Leonard; daughters and sons-in-law, Alexandra and Mike Shadroui, Courtney George, Natasha and Aaron Casteel; a son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Sarah Leonard; a step-son, Bobby D. Snow; seven grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Margaret Lowe, and Rebecca and Calvin Gaddy; a brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Delores Leonard; several nieces and nephews and many, many friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Leonard was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Leonard. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Highland Park Baptist Church with Dr. Darrell Tate officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Highland Park Baptist Church or to Children’s Hope Alliance at P.O. Box 1, Barium Springs, NC 28010.
