Mr. Roy F. McCormick

Mr. Roy Fredrick McCormick, age 72 of Claudville passed away Friday at his home. He was born in Patrick County on December 25, 1936 to the late Walter McCormick and Ada Mae Hall McCormick. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Walter Vernon McCormick; one sister-in-law Margaret McCormick; and one brother-in-law James Spence. Mr. McCormick was retired from the Rubber Thread.
Surviving are two sisters Annette Spence, and Eva Fain both of Stuart; and three brothers Ray and wife Faye McCormick of Claudville, VA; Frank McCormick of Martinsville, VA; and Dean and wife Teresa McCormick of Claudville, VA; also five nieces and 2 nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday January 11, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with the Rev. Kevin Combs officiating. Burial will follow in the Mayo Mountain Church Cemetery.
