Mr. Roy Lee Potts

Mr. Roy Lee Potts, 82 of Mount Airy, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2016 at Golden Living Center. Mr. Potts was born in Surry County on June 23, 1933 to the late William Potts and Nancy Susan Edwards Potts. He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Doris and David Adkins of Galax, VA, Barbara Foster of Mt. Airy, and Sharon and Billy Payne of Mt. Airy; one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Tammy Potts of Mt. Airy; seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Potts was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Savannah Breeze Foster; sisters, Mary Simpson and Lula Smith; brothers, Willie, Earlie, and Jimmy Potts; step-brothers, Glenn and Woodrow Potts. Graveside services will be held Monday, June 20, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Dover Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Greg Anderson officiating. Family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home on Monday from 12:30-1:30 PM.
