Mr. Roy Clinton Richardson

Mr. Roy Clinton Richardson, age 73, of Cana, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Grayson Nursing Center. Mr. Richardson was born in Carroll County on April 24, 1943 to William Houston and Mickey Ethel Phillips Richardson. He served our country in the United States Army. Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and James Cain, Tammy and Darrion “Peanut” Spicer and Barbara Ann Richardson; grandchildren, Beverly Cain, Keith Cain, BreeAnna Spicer and Kelsey Spicer; a great granddaughter, Laci Akers; sisters and brother-in-law, Annie and Bobby Easter and Irene Moxley and a brother, Berlie Richardson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Richardson was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Jean Beverly Richardson; a daughter, Mary Ann Richardson; an infant son and a brother, James Richardson. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Russell Vass. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Memorial Honor Guard, Pilot Mountain Post 9436 and Mount Airy Post 2019. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.
