Mr. Sam J. Bullins

Mr. Sam J. Bullins, age 81 of Stuart passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was born in Patrick County on November 8, 1927 to the late Will and Martha Ann Martin Bullins. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bullins was preceded in death by one son, Gary Lee Bullins; two sisters, Marie and Bertie Bullins; and five deceased brothers, Robie, Rob, Dee, John and Andy Bullins. He was retired from Masonite Corporation and was a service station operator.
Mr. Bullins is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James David and Linda Bullins of Stuart; two grandchildren, Jacob Bullins of Spencer and Candice Edwards of Stuart; and two sisters, Eldean DeHart of Patrick Springs and Myrtle Bullins.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Sam Bullins' homeplace with Elder J. R. Rakes officiating. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
