Mr. Shirley Holt

Mr. Shirley Holt, 68 of Mt. Airy passed away at his home Friday, February 26, 2016. Mr. Holt was born November 6, 1947 in Patrick County to the late Jesse and Lelia Holt; he was a retired car salesman and was a member of New Venture Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife Yolanda Easter Holt of the home, two sons Stanley Holt of Mt. Airy and Darrell Holt of Westfield, five grandchildren Brian and Audrey Holt, Danielle Holt, Christopher Holt, Megan Holt and Andrea Leonard, three sisters Betty Collins and Mary Holt both of Pilot Mountain and Peggy Slate of King and two brothers Junior Goins of Cana and Bill Holt of Westfield. In addition to his parents Mr. Holt was preceded in death by a granddaughter Ashley Leonard and by two brothers John Holt and Tom Holt. Funeral services will be held Sunday February 28, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at the New Venture Baptist Church with services conducted by Rev. Larry Thomas and Rev. Odell Sisk officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 PM until time for the service at New Venture Baptist Church.
