Mr. Stephen Wade Bowman

Mr. Stephen Wade Bowman, 63 of Mt. Airy, passed away Saturday morning, October 22, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Surry County on December 13, 1952 to Wade and Ernie Bowman. Mr. Bowman was an electrician by trade and of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Bowman had a passion of mowing and music which he would share often to many churches and shut-ins. He also had love and compassion for the clients of Lifespan. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bowman is survived by his loving wife, Faye Love Bowman of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Wendy MaHone and Michael of Pilot Mountain; a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin Bowman and Crystal of Mt. Airy; a special dog, Katie; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy Jones and Clayton, Debbie Gwyn and Ralph, Sandy Sanchez and Tony, and Susan Horton and Tony all of Cana; sisters-in-law, Joyce Needham of Mt. Airy, Pansy Payne and Curley of Mt. Airy, and Debbie Wall and Brent of Siloam; special cousins, Michael Payne of Mt Airy, and Hub Bowman of Cana; and special friends, Mack Collins and Ann of Pilot Mountain. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday October 25, 2016 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy at 4:00 PM with Rev. Mel Cummings and Mr. Mack Collins officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3:00 – 4:00 PM at the funeral home and at other times at the home.
