Mr. Steve E. Flinchum

Mr. Steve Edward Flinchum, age 68, of Lawsonville, NC passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at his home. He was born in Stokes County on April 25, 1949 to the late Pete Flinchum and Nelia Tilley Flinchum. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Ann Hooker Flinchum; a brother, Bobby Flinchum; and a sister, Bonnie “Tiny” Jarrell. Mr. Flinchum had retired from Roadway Express.

Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Johnny “Richie” and Amy Flinchum of Walnut Cove, NC, Stevie Flinchum of Cana, VA; three step children, Kimberley Bowman Lawson and husband, Jimmy, Kevin Charles Bowman and wife, Denise, Leandra Bowman Tilley and husband, Tommy all of Lawsonville, NC; seven grandchildren, Kara Lawson, Krista Lawson, Kayla Lawson, Allea Tilley, Emme Tilley, Heather Nicole Heath and husband, Bradley, Nikki Frye and husband, Austin; two great grandchildren, Maddox Gilliam, Landon Frye; three sisters, Mary Manuel, Judy Hicks both of Walnut Cove, NC, Ellen Beck of Denton, NC; one brother, Joe Flinchum of Walnut Cove, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 7:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Marcus Hooker officiating. Burial will be private.
