Mr. Terry Ray Callaway

Mr. Terry Ray Callaway, 55, of Mt. Airy passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. He was born in Surry County, January 1, 1962 to Avery Leo Callaway and the late Willie Ann Waddell Callaway. Mr. Callaway was a devoted member of Jesus Tabernacle, also serving as deacon. He was employed as safety coordinator with National Fleet Management in Greensboro working in the Specialty Trucks Division. He was serving as Chairman of NC Transportation Maintenance Council. In addition to his father, Mr. Callaway is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Edwards Callaway; daughters and son-in-law, Stephanie Callaway, Laura Rae Callaway, and Terri and Brandon Arnder; grandchildren, Lilly Presnell, Natily Presnell, Kelby Key, Kylie Key and Khloe Key; a sister, Sandra Newman and brother, Johnny Callaway. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, November 3, 2017 at Moody Funeral Home with Pastor David Turner, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Peoples Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Thursday, November 2, 2017. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made to Jesus Tabernacle, c/o Tammy Turner, 213 Pheasant Ridge Rd., Cana, VA 24317.
