Mr. Terry Charles McCaslin

Mr. Terry Charles McCaslin, age 67, of Dobson passed away peacefully on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home after a short illness. He was surrounded by his loving family as he took his Heavenly flight. Mr. McCaslin was born in Catawba County on November 27, 1947 to the late Charlie Jacob “C.J." and Leila Pearl Rowlin. He retired from Sprint Telephone Company where he worked as District Manager and a faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church. He proudly served our country during the Vietnam War. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 46 years, Mary Frances Reavis McCaslin; a daughter and son-in-law, Tonia Heather McCaslin and husband Jared Reed of Raleigh; a son, Dion Lee McCaslin of Saint Mary's County, Maryland; two beloved grandsons, Conner Jacob Reed and Caleb Russell Reed; and a brother, Tony McCaslin of Connelly Springs. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, January 18, 2015 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home by the Rev. Dale Wallace. Burial will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Honor Guard, Mount Airy Post 2019,Pilot Mountain Post 9436, and the North Carolina National Guard Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:30 pm until the hour of the service. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home 945 Zephyr Road Dobson, NC 27017; or to Antioch Baptist Church, c/o Tom Marcum, 137 Antioch Avenue, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
