Mr. Theodore Clinton Gravley

Mr. Theodore Clinton Gravley, age 87, of Mt. Airy passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Golden Living Center. He was born in Surry County on June 10, 1926 to the late John Daniel and Lula Frances Montgomery Gravley. Mr. Gravley was retired from Beroth Oil Company and was a longtime member of Salem United Methodist Church. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, LuAnne and Steve Hill of Claudville, VA; two grandchildren and spouse, Stacey Shepherd and Chuck of Claudville, VA, Erin Hill of Charlottesville, VA; two great grandchildren, Kaden Shepherd and Jason Shepherd both of Claudville, VA. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gravley was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Thomas Gravley. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Salem United Methodist Church with Rev. Bud Cameron officiating. Burial will follow in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends-1:00 pm Saturday until time of the service at Salem United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 2095 Wards Gap Road, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
