Mr. Thomas Matthew "Tom" Frye

Mr. Thomas Matthew “Tom” Frye, age 54 of Mt. Airy passed away Thursday, November 02, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center following a short illness. He was born in Surry County on April 13, 1963 to Carlos Edgar and Stella Jones Frye of Mt. Airy. Tom had worked as a CNA at Central Continuing Care. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend and will be dearly missed by all that knew him. Tom loved to fish, listen to music and play his guitar. He had a humble spirit and a kind and giving heart. In addition to his parents, Mr. Frye is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Nancy Frye of Winston Salem, Fred and Evelyn Frye of Simpsonville, SC; a sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Tim Arnder of Mt. Airy; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Kendall Ray “Ken” Frye. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Kinder and the Rev. Dwight Sechrist officiating.
