Mr. Thomas George "Tommy" Haynes

Mr. Thomas George "Tommy" Haynes Age 75, 832 Willow St. Mt. Airy, NC. Passed away Thursday August 4, 2011 at the Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Haynes was born January 28, 1936 in Surry County to the late Thomas Martin "Tom" and Mary Katherine "Cassie" Gates Haynes, he was a retired painter and was member of Shining Light Baptist Church. Surviving are three sisters and brothers-in-law Nellie Mae Taylor and Wanda and Lonnie Midkiff all of Mt. Airy and Lorraine and Kornell Hooker of Pilot Mountain, three brothers and sisters-in-law Joe and Jane Haynes and Wade and Carol Haynes all of Mt. Airy and Glenn and Ginger Haynes of Winston Salem, special friend Jenny Montgomery of Mt. Airy and a special niece Vickie Williams of Mt. Airy several other nieces and nephews a his special care giver Chris Williams. In addition to his parents Mr. Haynes was preceded in death by a sister Diane Marie Haynes and a very special niece Tracey Midkiff. Funeral services will be held Monday August 8, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Elmo Hiatt and Rev. Roger Pickett with burial to follow in the Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 7 to 9 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
