Mr. Thomas "Tom" Ray Ledford

Mr. Thomas "Tom" Ray Ledford, age 75 of Mt. Airy, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Ledford was born in Surry County on September 10, 1939 to Edward and Mary Willie Moles Ledford. He was a retired lineman foreman for Pike Electric and was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed. Surviving are his loving wife, Barbara Chandler Ledford; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and John Paul Jones, Kim and J. R. Inman and Donna and Danny Smith; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Ledford, Jr. and Tami; grandchildren, Ben Ledford, Beau Ledford, Jonathan Inman, Jody Inman, Tasha Gordon, Erica Trivette, Ryan Jones; great grandchildren, Kailey Trivette, Leo Trivette, and Sam Dollyhigh and a sister, Ruth Coymen. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ledford was preceded in death by brothers, James, Wayne, Clyde and Vance Ledford. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 30, 2015 at Blue Ridge Baptist Church by Rev. Woody Flippen and Rev. Danny Moore. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home Thursday night from 6:00 to 8:00. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd.
