Mr. Thomas Dell Phillips

Mr. Thomas Dell Phillips, 53, of Elkin passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 1, 2012. He was born in Surry County on July 27, 1959 to Dorothy Wagner Phillips and the late Wendell Snow Phillips. Mr. Phillips was a self employed farmer and of the Baptist faith. He leaves to cherish his memory, a daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Joseph Bragdon, of Yadkinville; a son, Thomas Joshua Phillips of Elkin; three grandchildren, Olivia Phillips, Jonah Bragdon, Samuel Bragdon and an expectant grandson, Timothy Michael Bragdon; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Arnold and Wendy Phillips of Elkin and Tony and Donna Phillips also of Elkin; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Rev. Roger Miller of Ararat; and Tom's fiancé, Cynthia Bruner of Elkin. In addition to his father, Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his maternal and his paternal grandparents. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, October 4, 2012 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home by Dr. Eric Caudill and Rev. Roger Miller with burial to follow in Fairview Baptist church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 pm until the hour of the service.
